Panerai is my most favorite watch brand, it brought us a lot of novelty models in the past, and many action super stars are watch fans of Panerai. However, in 2019, this brand is no longer magical, I have read SIHH news every day in the past several months, but I did not find any Panerai watch that could attract me deeply. With new Rolex models published by Noob, ARF and GMF every day, V6 has not developed new PAMs for a long time. We highly expected that what great PAM which V6 will bring to us next. V6 is the most famous watch manufacturer that started to accumulate their popularity by making the best PAMs in our market, we believe that they could bring more great replica Panerai watches in the future.

Today, I choose an old PAM to review, it is not my favorite Panerai but the watch has one advantage I like, which is its solid case back. As you know, most Panerai watches with see-through crystal back, like our popular PAM 111, PAM 438, PAM 441, etc, these watches all have a crystal back, so the movement in front of your eyes may become a false tail for some watch expert, this does not sound good. Even the P.9000 or P.9001 is perfectly cloned on PAM 438 and PAM 441, but many PAM fans are still afraid of wearing them in a Panerai boutique. So, some times readers on my blog contacted me for recommendation of some good quality PAMs with solid case back. So, this is one of the reason why I write this post.

As one of the few Panerai with solid case back, PAM 048 does not let us down because it comes from the famous V6 factory. Whether on outside case finish or inner movement, the quality of V6 PAM 048 is able to beat any other versions from small factories. Case is 40mm in diameter, which exactly meets the current watch trend, brushed case face is contrasting with the polished round bezel, crown bridge is also brushed with a polished lever. The whole case has a 1:1 finish on construction, the polishing is even superior especially when you check its case back.

The dial is the place I like most about the watch, because it uses patina luminescence on hour markers and hands. The dial is not sandwiched, all markers, including the big Arabic numbers 6 and 12, are raised on the dial. Small seconds sub-dial positioned at 9 o’clock is running a small hand smoothly. Date aperture at 3 o’clock has a white font, above the window, there is a round magnifier on the crystal.

Inside the case, it is an Asia Valjoux 7750 movement, because it is behind a solid case back, so the factory did not modify it to the look of any P series of Panerai. Black leather band is made of genuine calf leather, which offers a superior softness for the wearer. At the last, I share the collection of some Panerai models in my house.
