At Basel in recent two years, Omega published several outstanding watches, which include the Seamaster Spectre, this watch was sold out immediately once being introduced to the public. Omega Seamaster Spectre is sold so well because it belongs to popular 007 James Bond series, a lot of 007 movie fans love this watch. Now I want to introduce another great Omega watch that was unveiled at 2018 Basel, it is Seamaster Diver 300m with unique wavy patterns on dial, the watch is Omega’s iconic Co-Axial series, now VS factory just released its replica watch in the beginning of October, I will give a full review in the following article.
The replica watch looks very harmonious in style. The case is 42mm in diameter, it is well brushed. Omega Seamaster has a special case, look at its lugs, it has an unique shape, not in flat, but has several cutting faces, the bezel is polygonal, its edge looks like the waves. The bezel insert uses high grade black ceramic that has platinum markers. The font of bezel markers is wider and thinner than other Seamaster watches, it looks more elegant. At 12 o’clock, there is a pearl with silver round edge inside the big triangle, it is filled with white luminous material. The bezel pearl will emit a super green light in the dark.
VS factory claimed that they use ceramic material on the dial. The black dial has two big features. First, the unique wave patterns. It is my first time to see such wave design on the dial. Yes, Omega did a great job in releasing new models at Basel 2018. The waves on the dial attracts me immediately among so many new watches published in 2018. The wave patterns on dial and bezel expressed the core theme of the replica watch – diving. Yes, genuine watch is made for divers and 300m waterproof, while this replica has been tested to be 50mm in water resistance. There will be no issues when you wear it for swimming. Second, the dial has a high readability. Hour markers are large dots, filled with white luminescence in silver edge. Hour markers, hour hand and second hand will emit strong blue light, while the minute hand will have the same green lume as bezel pearl. Central second hand not only has a luminous dot, but its bright red tip is also eye-catching. There is a square window opened on the dial at 6 o’clock, white date font is centered in black background. I love the dial design of this Seamaster watch, I think it is more attractive than Omega Planet Ocean watches.
About the band, it is equipped with a black/grey nylon strap, while the factory also offers one extra stainless steel bracelet for this replica watch if you can spend $80 usd more. This nylon band is very welcomed among Omega Diver replica watches, it was specially designed for replica Omega Spectre before but now was pursued by more Omega watch fans. About movement, it is an Asian clone 8800 that is modified on base of ETA 2836-2. It is the first time for VS factory to clone Omega 8800 Caliber, the result is perfect because they already have experience in manufacturing the best clone 8400 movement that is installed in Omega Spectre 007 replica.
